Hi Everyone!
I know I know, its been a while since we've updated our itch.io page and very few people care.
But for those of you who are still tuning in - thank you, that means a lot to me, I hope you continue to give your support.
We conducted a playtest on Steam that launched on Halloween with our latest 2024 build, and the reception was great!
The reason we started with Steam was because we knew we could gather more feedback there and also collect wishlists to convince potential publishers to fund our remaining development. Now that we have collected enough feedback, we can move to our next phase and share with our friends here on itch.io a better playtest build.
We have made a lot of progress this year with many major changes, too many to list down so here is a list of the major changes:
- Closing Time : You now have to close the restaurant at the end of the day to help you review your progress.. this new mechanic has been a major game changer and we absolutely ridiculous that we didn't apply it sooner.
- Simulation Mode: After placing your traps, you can now simulate incursion to test your strategy - by simulating the PREVIOUS incursion only.
- More interactions with employees: Lots of changes here so that you can have more agency over the performance of your employees, including sending demotivated employees home for the day to improve their motivation, slap them to move faster and even listen to their thoughts.. and all this in a new employee management interface!
- QOL improvements: We focused a lot on this and so far the response has been great but not quite there yet.
I planned to keep this post short n sweet so that's all for now. We still have a lot more to do and moving forward we want to focus on creating difficult moral/ethical business decisions for the player to make, and also focus on progression.
We will keep this playtest up for a while... possible until early next year. In the meantime, I hope you have fun and share your feedback with us.
